Helen Joyce Wilson, 85, of Forest City, died Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Fair Haven of Forest City. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Matilda Goode Shytle. Joyce was a member of Spencer Baptist Church, an accountant for various car dealerships and a former Town Clerk for Spindale.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sheryl Smith and husband Bob of Murrells Inlet, SC, Lois Hodge of Forest City and Stacy Henson of Asheville; grandsons, Zack Henson of Candler and Kyle Brittain of Lexington, NC; granddaughter, Gina Coggins and husband Clint of Lexington, NC; great grandchildren, Chloe Brittain of Forest City, Brady Coggins, Chase Coggins, Kynsleigh Coggins, and Kayleigh Brittain all of Lexington, NC; stepson Scott Wilson of Atlanta, GA; niece Rhonda Chittister and husband Alan of Forest City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gene Wilson, brother Ray Shytle, nephew Eric Shytle and great grandson Orion Brittain.

Memorial services will be held 11AM Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Spencer Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Family Life Center.
