Obituary for Helen Amelia MIlls (Gosnell)
Helen Amelia Mills, 77, of Tryon, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. A native of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Amelia Thompson Gosnell. Helen was a member of Byars Baptist Church and a retired employee of Broyhill Furniture Company.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Sandy Mills of Mill Spring; daughter, Janet Hudson of Tryon; two grandchildren, Lewis Hudson and Chelsey Wolford; brothers Bobby Gosnell of Columbus and Dean Gosnell of Tryon; sister, Jean Gosnell of Tryon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thadeus Mills and brother, Frank Gosnell.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, June 3, 2019 at Crowe’s Chapel with Rev. Robert Orr and Rev. Charles Arledge officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
