Obituary for Andy Roland Hudlow

Andy Roland Hudlow, 87, entered into eternal rest on August 11, 2019, in Saint Matthews, South Carolina. Andy was born on February 13, 1932, in Forest City, North Carolina, though he spent the majority of his life in Barnwell, South Carolina. He referred to himself as a “tree surgeon,” and he worked for NG Gilbert for most of his career. After he retired, he spent much of his free time rocking on his front porch at 241 Apple Street or working in his garden. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Reba Cleadith Wilson Hudlow, who died in 2008. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Andy C. Hudlow; parents, Claude and Lillie Mae Smith Hudlow; sisters Lorene Lovelace, Arzie Cook, Lucy Hudlow, Elanor Hudlow, and Maxine Jolley; and brother Roy Hoyle Hudlow. He is survived by his daughters, Yvonne (William) Smith of Orangeburg, S.C.; Patricia Hudlow of Aiken, S.C.; his son, Mark Hudlow of North Augusta, S.C.; his grandchildren, Joseph Lutz, Allison Rogers, Audra Lutz, Daniel Smith, Reba Fedd, and Andrew Hudlow; his great grandchildren, Kansas Kufzko and William Rogers; his sister, Brenda (Troy) Dalton of Forest City, N.C.; his brother, Hayden Hudlow of Forest City, N.C.; and his brother-in-law, Donald Jolley, of Rutherfordton, N.C. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Saturday August 24 at Smith Grove Baptist Church in Forest City, North Carolina
