Mrs. Alma Marie Steppe Rhue Cooke age 92 passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC. A native of Polk County she is the daughter of the late Glover Hugh Steppe and Mary Helton Steppe. Alma was a retired beautician having worked in the Lake Lure area for a number of years.

Left to cherish her memory are a grandson Terry Rhue, a daughter in law Lynda Rhue, a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Jesse Rhue, second husband John Cooke and her son Terry Rhue, Sr.

A graveside service will be held 11 AM Monday, September 30, 2019 at Coopers Gap Baptist Church Cemetery 730 Coopers Gap Road, Mill Spring, NC 28756. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
